While battling orchestrated protests and media bias, President Donald Trump is winning in his battle to convince the American people he is doing the job to which he was elected.
A new Politico/Morning Consult poll shows that after roughly one week in office, 49 percent of those polled approve of Trump’s first days as president while 41 percent disapprove.

The poll also showed that 49 percent give Trump a favorable rating while 44 percent rate him as unfavorable.
The new poll shows a major change from a Gallup poll released Saturday which showed 51 percent of those polled disapprove of Trump’s first week as president. Gallup’s daily tracking poll showed that Trump began office with a 45 percent disapproval rating.
However, the daily Rasmussen Reports tracking poll showed that as of Wednesday, 53 percent of Americans surveyed approve of Trump’s work.
Since taking office, Trump has followed through on his campaign promises with a series of executive orders that have prompted protests, but also drawn support.
“I don’t want America to end up in a place where political correctness is being used against us to destroy us,” said Vito Glazers, a Chicago Internet entrepreneur who supported Trump.
He believes Trump’s most recent executive order halting immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries was necessary.
“While I don’t think it’s perfect, I think that it’s a great step to creating much needed action in the right direction,” he said.
Glazers said the nation can only absorb those willing to become absorbed into American society.
