In addition to his duties as the vice president, Mike Pence will now be responsible for heading up an investigation into voter fraud.
During an interview Sunday with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, President Donald Trump announced he would create a commission to look at the issue of voter fraud “very, very carefully.”

He added that Pence would lead the investigation.
“Well that’s good. Let’s get to the bottom of this,” responded O’Reilly.
Later Sunday, the vice president said he was honored to lead the commission.
“At the very center of our democracy is the integrity of the vote, the one person, one vote principle,” Pence told Fox News. “It’ll be my honor to lead that commission on behalf of the president and to look into that and give the American people the facts.”

Trump, who won the electoral vote, has maintained he would have also won the popular vote had it not been for widespread voter fraud.
In the Sunday interview, the president pointed to voter registration rolls containing the names of people who are deceased as well as noncitizens, and people who are registered in multiple states.
O’Reilly brought up the necessity of facts and data to black his claim.
