Donald Trump’s campaign manager got into an intense exchange Sunday with Jake Tapper, host of CNN’s “State of the Union,” over a security incident at a Trump rally in Reno, Nevada. “How do you — first of all, that’s really remarkable, I have to say, that that’s what the story line is here,”

Pointing to members of the Trump campaign — to include Donald Trump Jr — re-tweeting a Twitter post comparing the “assassination attempt” of Trump to Hillary Clinton running away from rain, Tapper asked Kellyanne Conway why the campaign would spread false information.
“This was not an assassination attempt,” he said. “Why is your campaign spreading that it was?”
Conway responded with disgust over where Tapper was taking the interview.
“How do you — first of all, that’s really remarkable, I have to say, that that’s what the story line is here,” she said. “Thank you for reminding everybody that the rain chased [Hillary Clinton] away. There weren’t a lot of people there at her rally to begin with, and the rain left them running for cover.”
She followed that up with a harsh dose of reality.
“I think she has to travel nonstop with Beyoncé and Jay Z and the likes of that just to prop her up and get a decent crowd,” Conway added. “People, by the way, are there to see Beyoncé, not to see her.”
Conway then slammed CNN for its biased reporting and “breathless predictions.”
