The utter madness of the time bending Democratic leadership. Nancy Pelosi answered a question from “Bushra,” a Yemeni immigrant, during Tuesday’s town hall on CNN. She asked Pelosi what the Democratic leadership will do to help those affected by Yemen’s ongoing civil war.
The House Minority leader chose to answer by pointing the finger at Donald Trump and his “incompetent” administration.
“Your family is suffering because your president is reckless, and his administration is incompetent,” she told Bushra.
The increasingly loopy Democrat seems to have a very selective memory, or maybe her mind is just going because she never mentioned the $112 million worth of munitions President Obama sold to Saudi Arabia during the war. Saudi Arabia then used those munitions to bomb Yemeni rebels and civilians alike.
As Slate reported at the time,
U.S. support for the Saudi bombing campaign in Yemen has been one of the odder sideshows of Obama’s foreign policy. The administration has publicly supported and provided logistical assistance to the Saudi intervention against Shiite Houthi rebels since the campaign began in the spring of 2015. That support has continued even as administration officials—usually anonymously—have expressed concerns about civilian casualties and Saudi Arabia’s unclear long-term strategic goals in the conflict.
