Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced on Friday that he would be suing to block Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein’s recount request in the state.
“Today I am filing suit to stop @DrJillStein’s frivolous, expensive recount request,” Schuette, a Republican, said in a tweet.

The Hill reports,
Stein has filed for recounts in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, citing concerns that the states’ voting systems may have been compromised. She has said she knows she won’t win the states, but that the recounts are about making sure the results are legitimate.President-elect Donald Trump won all three of the states and has filed complaints to block the recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
