There is heavy speculation that Rudy Giuliani could be the next Director of National Intelligence.

On the onset of Trump’s transition phase since becoming the president-elect, former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani was assumed to land a top post in the White House. He was a loyal supporter of the billionaire’s candidacy and a strong surrogate on the media circuits. Unfortunately for him, he seems to have been passed down for a few high-profile positions so far. Giuliani didn’t land the attorney general gig (Sen. Jeff Sessions scored that nomination), and there are strong indications that he will be passed over for secretary of state to Mitt Romney.
However, there are many positions left to be filled and one prime job appears to be in play for the former mayor. Speaking on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, senior adviser Kellyanne Conway said Giuliani could “possibly” be the next director of the DNI when pointedly asked by the hosts.
Giuliani spoke to reporters after emerging from a meeting with the president-elect in Trump Tower Tuesday morning. He was not apt for giving details.
