A short biography of Hillary Clinton in a program handed out to hundreds of audience members at the annual Rainbow/PUSH Coalition convention on Monday contained some details that the candidate no doubt would prefer to forget.
Both Jesse and Jacqueline Jackson invited the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee to speak at the event, held at McCormick Place.

In the event’s program, the first several paragraphs about the candidate mentioned, in glowing fashion, some of her accomplishments. But then there was this sentence: “The only first lady to have been subpoenaed.”
Not exactly what you would expect to read in a promotional piece handed out by friends.
But there was more:
“She faced a federal grand jury in 1996 regarding the Whitewater controversy. No charges were brought against her related to this or any other controversies in her life.”
“Her marriage endured the Lewinsky scandal of 1998, and overall her role as first lady drew a polarized response from the public.”
