It’s been a month since Hillary Clinton lost the election to Donald Trump, but some of her young supporters are still emotionally distraught over the defeat.
A group of crying young women met Clinton on Thursday after she attended Nevada Sen. Harry Reid’s retirement party on Capitol Hill.

Upon leaving the event, Clinton — who was accompanied by her running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine — was greeted by a group of supporters who can be heard sobbing on a video recorded by NBC News reporter Monica Alba.
“Thank you so much,” one especially distressed woman can be heard.

The event was Clinton’s first political appearance since the election. During a short speech at Reid’s party, she took time to comment on what she called an “epidemic” of fake news.
“Let me just mention briefly one threat in particular that should concern all Americans, Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike and especially those that serve in our Congress: the epidemic of malicious, fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year,” Clinton said.
“It’s now clear that so-called fake news can have real world consequences. This isn’t about politics or partisanship. Lives are at risk. Lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days to do their jobs, contribute to their communities.”
