“Petty and Small”
CNN hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo got into a heated exchange about a simple moment between President Donald Trump and the former presidents while at the funeral for former President George H.W. Bush.
.@donlemon gets called out by @ChrisCuomo for saying he wouldn’t have shaken Trump’s hand at 41’s service if he were Obama.
Cuomo: “You’re petty and small.”
Lemon: “I’m not petty and small. That’s real, brother. That’s real.”

President Trump had an awkward entrance into the state funeral for Bush when he was seated next to several people that he wasn’t on the best of terms with, including former President Barack Obama and his former opponent, Hillary Clinton.
IJR reports,
When he sat down, he reached over and shook the hands of the Obamas. He also shook hands with former President George W. Bush after he entered the church and made his way over to greet the former presidents.
The greetings between the former presidents and Trump were brief and courteous, albeit awkward. There didn’t appear to be many words exchanged because, after all, they were not there for a political rally. They were there to honor the life of a great man and former president.
Still, Lemon told his fellow CNN host that he thinks that, had he been in Obama’s shoes, he wouldn’t have offered his hand to Trump. In fact, he even demonstrated the manner in which he would have snubbed the president.
In response, his fellow CNN host called him “petty” and “small.”
LEMON: You don’t have to show respect for that kind of person. Let me show you.
CUOMO: You didn’t have to but…
LEMON: Let me show you what I would have done.
CUOMO: You’re petty and small.
LEMON: I’m not petty and small. That’s real, brother. That’s real.
CUOMO: Yeah. Real petty and small.
LEMON: Nope, it’s not. This is not about ideology. This is about the way someone conducts themselves.
Clearly, Lemon and Cuomo don’t see eye to eye on the what it means to be the bigger person.
