In response to President Donald Trump‘s actions on Wednesday to crack down on illegal immigration, New York Gov. Anthony Cuomo took grandstanding to new levels.
As I’ve said before, I say again today, if there is a move to deport immigrants, I say then start with me. pic.twitter.com/elejUuKS9J

From BizPac Review
The president signed executive actions that push forward efforts to build a wall along the southern border, increasing the number of immigration enforcement officers who carry out deportations and cut off federal money for sanctuary cities.
Cuomo’s answer was to say if immigrants are to be deported, start with him.
“As I’ve said before, I say again today, if there is a move to deport immigrants, I say then start with me,” the liberal governor said.
While there’s plenty wrong with the statement, including the fact he conflates legal and illegal immigrants — a common tactic by the left — the glaring deficiency is that Cuomo is NOT an immigrant.
Anthony Cuomo is the son of the late Mario Cuomo, the former N.Y. governor who was born in New York. It was Mario’s father, Anthony’s grandfather, who came from Italy.
The reaction on social media showed people are on to the Democrats’ gig, as if the November election didn’t already make that clear.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
