A former spokesperson for Sen. Bernie Sanders — who is currently a CNN contributor — recently spouted her racist opinion that the Democrat Party doesn’t “need white people leading” it.
Mediaite reported:
While discussing the merits of Howard Dean’s candidacy to lead the Democratic National Committee, former Bernie Sanders spokesperson and current CNN contributor Symone Sanders called for diversity at the top levels of the DNC, and said, “we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now.”
Symone Sanders also noted Dean’s criticism of Bernie Sanders and considered it a mark against his bid to lead the democratic party.
Sanders opined on CNN, according to Mediaite:
Howard Dean is also on record maligning young people and millennials — telling those Bernie folks they just need to get in line — and maligning Bernie Sanders. And that is not what we need.
In my opinion, we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now. The Democratic party is diverse, and it should be reflected as so in our leadership and throughout the staff, at the highest levels.
This isn’t the first time Symone Sanders showed her racism. Last Monday, Sanders responded callously to a question from CNN panelist Carl Higbie. He asked, “What do you say to the people who dragged a poor white guy out of a car and beat him?”
Higbie’s question was in reference to the older white Chicago man who was beaten by several young black men after what was reportedly a traffic dispute. The mob attacked the man and one of those who attacked him allegedly said, “It’s one of them white boy Trump guys.”
