DONALD TRUMP has launched a stinging attack against WikiLeaks whistleblower Chelsea Manning, blasting her as an “ungrateful traitor” who should have never been released.

The US President tweeted: “Ungrateful TRAITOR Chelsea Manning, who should never have been released from prison, is now calling President Obama a weak leader. Terrible!”
The transgender former US soldier is expected to be released from prison in May after President Barack Obama commuted her 35-year sentence before he left the White House to make way for Donald Trump.
Despite, this Manning, 29, said Barack Obama was a weak leader and lambasted him for “few permanent accomplishments”.
Writing in a new column for The Guardian, Manning said: “The one simple lesson to draw from President Obama’s legacy: do not start off with a compromise.
“They won’t meet you in the middle. Instead, what we need is an unapologetic progressive leader.”
Manning was sentenced 35 years behind bars for handing 7,000 sensitive miliatary and diplomatic documents to the whistleblowing website Wikileaks.
Among the 700,000 sensitive military and diplomatic documents were war logs from Iraq and Afghanistan, plus a video that showed an Apache helicopter attack which killed civilians in Baghdad.

Manning’s fans had grown increasingly worried if Mr Obama did not give the green light as Mr Trump would never allow an early release upon taking office.The inmate called on President Obama to show her clemency herself insisting it would be her “last chance” at freedom.
