A 25-year old Dunkin Donuts employee, Vincent J. Sessler, faces disorderly conduct and battery charges for an incident with a state trooper.
Investigators say he served coffee to a state trooper who had stopped at the store at Barger and Oak Park in Chicago.
The trooper took the lid off the coffee to let it cool and later noticed mucus floating on top. The director of Illinois State Police, Brendan F. Kelly, called the incident “outrageous and disgusting.”
Kelly continued, “The men and women of the Illinois State Police put their heart and soul into protecting the lives and rights of all people in this state every day. They deserve better than this insulting and dangerous treatment.”
