Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani on Thursday hailed President-elect Donald Trump’s handling of his latest press conference, praising his relationship with the media.
“It is refreshing and it is very good for our democracy that we have a president that is trying to get us back to a free press,” Giuliani told Fox News’ Sean Hannity in a discussion of Trump’s press conference.

President-elect Trump shot down a CNN reporter on Wednesday, refusing to take a question and blasting the network during his first press conference in 167 days.
“Your organization is terrible,” Trump told CNN’s Jim Acosta.
“Don’t be rude. No, I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news,” Trump added.
The exchange followed a report from CNN that intelligence officials had briefed the president-elect on an unverified dossier alleging the Russian government had compromising information about him.
During Thursday’s interview, Giuliani said Trump would “win this battle” against the media.
“He knows exactly what he wants to accomplish, he cannot be intimidated, he’s an honest man so they’re not going to catch him in some kind of lie and he’s got the courage to fight them back,” Giuliani said.
“I think maybe, he may actually reestablish journalistic ethics.”
