Anderson Cooper and Kellyanne Conway had a furious exchange over CNN’s role in an intelligence report with unverified claims against President-elect Donald Trump.
Cooper defended CNN against Trump’s accusations that they reported unsubstantiated allegations against him, linking to a report by BuzzFeed, during “Anderson Cooper AC360” on Wednesday.

“CNN is not BuzzFeed, I just wish you guys would acknowledge [it],” Cooper argued, saying it’s “unfair and frankly disingenuous” to mix the two and their reporting.
“I know CNN is feeling the heat today,” Trump’s senior advisor told Cooper as she repeatedly tried to show him how the network went ahead with a “breathless report” that even the liberal
“I think you guys are feeling the heat,” Cooper fired back, arguing that CNN did not actually publish the document like BuzzFeed did, only linked to their story.
“If you couldn’t corroborate it, why would you even link to it?” Conway asked.
“If cyber-security were such a big priority to this administration and the Democratic Party and its apologists in the media, then why didn’t we do more about it over the last eight years?” she asked.
