On Tuesday, in a rare and extraordinary move, the Office of First Lady released a statement on Deputy National Security Advisor, Mira Ricardel.
The Wall Street Journal initially reported that Ricardel had been fired and escorted from White House grounds. A White House spokesperson told The Post, however, that “she is still here.”
First Lady Melania’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said in a statement of Ms. Ricardel:
“It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House,” Grisham said.
A couple weeks ago, Jonathan Swan of Axios reported Mira Ricardel even managed to get on the wrong side of First Lady Melania. “Don’t give her long,” Mr. Swan said.
Re Mira Ricardel – I would love to know who she HASN’T clashed with. She’s developed more WH enemies in a quicker time than any previous admin official w possible exception of Rex’s chief Margaret Peterlin. Ricardel even managed to get on wrong side of FLOTUS! Don’t give her long pic.twitter.com/TVsAQrcp3A
