Poll Found 19 Percent Of Likely Democratic Voters Said They’d Consider Bucking Their Party To Vote For Trump.
Throughout Trumps meteoric rise in the political polls, Hillary Clinton has always been ahead. All that is about to change as a new poll shows that record numbers of Democrats may be willing to cross party lines to vote for Trump.
A poll conducted by Mercury Analytics was conducted to measure the effect of Trumps television advertising campaign on the perceptions of the American voters. The Democrat-run survey company with clients including MSNBC and Fox News, found that 19 percent of likely Democratic voters said they’d consider bucking their party to vote for Trump if he were the GOP candidate, while just 14 percent of GOP voters said they might do the same for Clinton.
To make matters worse for Clinton, the survey also found that a much higher percentage of Democrats were “100 percent sure” of voting for Trump than Republicans considering voting for Clinton. According to Mercury CEO Ron Howard:
“The challenge to Hillary, if Trump is the nominee and pivots to the center in the general election as a problem-solving, independent-minded, successful ‘get it done’ businessman, is that Democrats will no longer be able to count on his personality and outrageous sound bites to disqualify him in the voters’ minds.”
Not only is GOP wildcard Donald Trump grabbing up delegates at a heretofore impossible rate, with Cruz and Kasich out of the race, reaching 1,237 delegates and eliminating a contested convention is a virtual certainty.
“He Who Laughs Last, Laughs Best!”
Now the numbers are coming in and slowly but surely, Trump is passing Hillary. Not long ago people chuckled at the thought of Trump running for president. Now the tables have turned as they face that very real possibility that several months from now we will have a President Trump!
