NIGEL FARAGE flew into a furious rant at his colleagues in the European Union, criticising the bloc of “sheer hypocrisy” after their complaints about Donald Tump’s trade tariffs on steel and aluminium.
The former Ukip leader declared “two-thirds” of British people believe the European Commission is bullying the UK during Brexit talks.

Mr Farage proclaimed: “Of course, they’re right.”
He pointed toward the EU’s latest trade war with the USA, insisting the bloc had shown “sheer hypocrisy” by bemoaning proposed trade tariffs.
“At long last, you’ve met your match in Donald Trump,” Mr Farage said.
“You may well scream and shout about his aluminium and steel tariffs, but the EU puts tariffs on 13,000 goods coming into it.”
Brussels has suggested it will seek an exemption from Mr Trump’s tariffs through the World Trade Organisation.
However, Mr Farage railed against the bloc for having already imposed tariffs on a series of products, including steel and aluminium.
He blast: “The sheer hypocrisy of criticising Trump, when you have already put tariffs on steel and aluminium amazes me.
“But it does show the folly of us going for a transition period, it shows the utter stupidity of the Labour Party of wanting to sign us up for this permanently.
“In this USA dispute, we now find ourselves trapped, impotent, unable to act – we need to be free, we voted Brexit, voted to make our own trade policy.”
He went on to say that Britain should not be worried about a free trade agreement with the EU, he said: “We could do a deal with America in 48 hours. Mrs May we did not vote for a transition we voted to leave.”
Mr Farage was jeered in the parliament as he heralded Britain as a key ally of the USA and Donald Trump.
He added: “Mrs May do what Trump has done and stand strong. The game is up!”
Donald Trump has confirmed he will slap on 25 percent tariffs on steel and 10 percent on aluminium imports.
EU bosses confirmed they would consider their own trade tariffs in a hope to make the US President back down.
However, Mr Trump has shown no signs of reconsidering his proposals, instead, he warned the EU to expect more tariffs – including on German cars – unless they lower theirs.
He wrote on Twitter: “The European Union, wonderful countries who treat the US very badly on trade, are complaining about the tariffs on steel & aluminium.
“If they drop their horrific barriers & tariffs on US products going in, we will likewise drop ours. Big deficit.
“If not, we tax cars etc… Fair!”
