The Left has no grasp of history none. And because of that we hit these icebergs. We have Democrats likening Border Patrol detention centers for illegals to Nazi concentration camps.
Granted, the Left describes any activity or policy from those with whom they disagree as fascistic and Hitler-esque. It’s their default position that has been jacked up with steroids since Trump’s 2016 win. And with that win, the Left has become increasingly more unhinged. We have the anti-Semitism crew headed by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), accusing supporter of Israel of exhibiting dual loyalty, said that Israel has hypnotic powers that they use to shield their evil, and peddled the old trope of Jewish people controlling political events through cash concerning the activities of AIPAC. AOC decided to top all of this by quoting Nazi sympathizer Evita Peron of Argentina. President Trump apparently likened her to the late Peron, but clearly didn’t look too much into why quoting Ms. Peron was, you know, a very, very….very bad idea (via Telegraph):
“I know that, like every woman of the people, I have more strength than I appear to have.”

“I had watched for many years and seen how a few rich families held much of Argentina’s wealth and power in their hands. So the government brought in an eight hour working day, sickness pay and fair wages to give poor workers a fair go.”
– Evita Perón

Eva Peron, known as Evita, was the second wife of President Juan Peron, and remains a national heroine almost 60 years after she died from cancer.
Hospitals, schools and orphanages were built in poor areas through a foundation she established and she was crucial to her husband’s popularity with the masses.
However, Mr Peron helped many Nazis fleeing Europe after the Second World War to find a safe haven in Argentina, including Adolf Eichmann and Josef Mengele.
… “It is still suspected that among her [Eva Peron’s] possessions, there were pieces of Nazi treasure, that came from rich Jewish families killed in concentration camps.
Perhaps not the best nickname to embrace: the Peróns quite famously gave the Nazis safe haven in Argentina after WWII & likely enriched themselves by taking a cut of the ill-gotten gains the Nazis stole from the Jews & others and smuggled out of Germany.https://t.co/nPxUaJHaFS https://t.co/yUfUcv8x9U
