Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is apparently the new Hillary Clinton. The New York lawmaker told reporters on Friday that President Donald Trump needs a woman to “vilify” now that Hillary Clinton is no longer in the political spotlight.
Ocasio-Cortez claims people are criticizing her because they don’t “have another woman — Hillary Clinton or whoever else — to vilify anymore, so they need to find another woman to kind of prop up and become a lightning rod.” pic.twitter.com/dD8EwZCYXX

When asked about Trump supporters chanting “AOC sucks” at the president’s rally in Michigan last week, Ocasio-Cortez implied she was only being criticized because of her gender.
“You know this is part of a pattern that the right and the far-right and, frankly, the President is consistent with,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“He doesn’t have another woman, Hillary Clinton or whoever else, to vilify anymore so they need to find another woman to kind of prop up and become a lightning rod,” she added.
The American Mirror reports,
Her remarks on Friday afternoon came a few hours before she took part in a town hall on MSNBC to discuss climate change and her socialist Green New Deal, which failed in the Senate by a vote of 0-57.
During the town hall, Ocasio-Cortez claimed that fighting climate change is similar to winning World War II.
“First all of, we’ve been here before: we’ve been here before with the Great Depression. We’ve been here before with World War II, even the Cold War,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“And the answer has been an ambitious and directed mobilization of the American economy to direct and solve our problem, our biggest problem,” she added.
Ocasio-Cortez went on to argue that in these instances, America overcame these struggles by centering the entire economy “around war.”
She said the same applies to fighting “our greatest existential threat,” which she argued is climate change.
“To get us out of the situation, to revamp our economy, to create dignified jobs for working Americans, to guarantee health care and elevate our educational opportunities and attainment, we will have to mobilize our entire economy around saving ourselves and taking care off this planet,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
In several instances, Ocasio-Cortez strongly implied climate change — which has killed zero people — is equal to World War II — where millions of innocent people either died or were killed.
But more importantly, the cost of the Green New deal could literally bankrupt the nation.
One of the first studies found that the measure would cost an estimated $7 trillion. Another study found that it could be closer to $50 trillion, with a third study finding that it could actually be around $93 trillion.
