Democratic superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will officially join Rep. Maxine Waters’ Financial Services Committee; a key oversight panel with vast control of Wall Street, the banking industry, and the US housing market.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to sit on this committee as a freshman, and look forward to working under the leadership of @RepMaxineWaters!” posted Cortez on social media Tuesday evening.
Financial Services is one of just four exclusive committees in the House. It oversees big banks, lending, & the financial sector.
