Trump Knows How To Solve This: Labor Force Participation Rate Worst In 38 Years! See the POLL below
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump knows the number one thing that will make America great again is:
Good paying jobs, too.
When President Obama was sworn into office in January, 2009, the labor force participation rate was an already poor 65.7 percent.
Toward the end of Obama’s second term, seven years later, that rate has dropped further to 62.4 percent, the lowest in 38 years.
Almost 38 percent of Americans – over 94,044,000 to be more precise – who could, are not working or even looking for jobs.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the economy added 160,000 jobs last month, April 2016. Over the previous 12 months, the economy added an average of 232,000 per month.
Again, according to BLS cited 5,793,000 “persons who currently want a job” in April compared to 5,712,000 in March.
The unemployment rate also increased in April to 5.0 percent from 4.9 percent in March. The unemployment rate has become a statistic of questionable value since it does not account for those who may be ‘under-employed.’ In other words, they are employed in one or two part-time positions and may be earning less than they may have earned in one previous job AND they continue to look for a job matched to their skills and needs.
Americans want jobs. Good jobs. Not government support. Trump has promised good jobs and the his supporters believe in his track record.
