President Trump calls into ‘Fox & Friends’ to discuss Ronny Jackson’s withdrawal, Michael Cohen and the possible North Korea summit. Also, the president says he is disappointed in his Justice Department, calls Comey’s book a big mistake and thanks Kanye West for his support.
“Nobody has done what I’ve been able to do,” he said. “And I did it despite the fact that I have a phony cloud over my head that doesn’t exist.”
Trump has repeatedly decried the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election as a “hoax” and a “witch hunt” orchestrated by Democrats to upend his presidency.
“It was what the Democrats use to try to make an excuse for the loss of the election, for their loss of the Electoral College,” Trump said on Thursday. “This was an absolute, total beating in the Electoral College.”
Host Steve Doocy had asked Trump what grade he would give himself, after saying a year ago he deserved an A for effort and a C for ‘messaging.’
‘So we have a phony deal going on. And it’s a cloud over my head. And I’ve been really able to really escape that cloud because the message now everyone knows is a fix – it’s a witch hunt. And they know that and I’ve been able to message it. I would give myself an A-plus. Nobody has done what I’ve been able to do. And I did it despite the fact that I have a phony cloud over my head that doesn’t exist,’ Trump said.
