They did try to take it away from her, though. The New York Times, the same paper that gave Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rock star treatment, took a close look at Flores and “the rise of the far-right Latina.” CNN’s only now getting around to it, but Raul A. Reyes has written that Flores is not the “real deal.”
