Roseanne Reacts Furiously To ‘The Conners’: “I AIN’T DEAD B…” – James Woods Says He’d Be Up For A SitCom With Her

October 17, 2018 by Kristie McDonald

Roseanne Barr trolled ABC’s “The Conners,” Tuesday evening.  “The Conners,” a spin off of Roseanne’s family created after ABC cancelled “Roseanne” dealt with her death in the first episode.

It was revealed Tuesday evening that Roseanne’s fictional character died of an opioid overdose as a way to eliminate her from the show.

Roseanne Barr took to Twitter Tuesday night to troll ABC’s spin-off.

So what about a sitcom starring James Woods and Roseanne Barr?  What a GREAT idea!

Just felt like tweeting a pic of @therealroseanne. I don’t know why, just felt like it. pic.twitter.com/eH7Vu2EmwE

James Woods Says He Would Do a Sitcom with Roseanne Barr

“Hey @RealJamesWoods why don’t you and @therealroseanne do a crazy sitcom together? I’d watch it for sure,” the user wrote the actor.

Woods responded, “I would consider doing that.”

I would consider doing that. https://t.co/obhTyHjgrC

Bizpac Review notes,

Woods tweeted about the actress last week amid reports that ABC executives were allegedly regretting their hasty decision to fire the comedian following her controversial tweet about an Obama aide which some condemned as racist.

Well, in general, firing the title character of any hit show (centered solely around that character) is hardly the apex of business acumen. This should be blatantly obvious to the most casual practitioner of programming. #Roseanne https://t.co/YZ5401BRGv

ABC was reportedly bracing for the reaction of viewers to the debut of the “Roseanne” spin-off without Barr, “The Conners,” fearing backlash from longtime fans of the actress.

“I hope she hijacks their asses for a fortune when they slip on the knee pads and start begging for her to come back,” Woods said.

Serious question: does ABC own Roseanne’s name? I always heard that titles can’t be copyrighted. I’m probably wrong, but what if another network decided to do a different Roseanne Barr sitcom? What degree of material change is required? https://t.co/OqImQOizyG

Not husband and wife; brother and sister in a family business. Then she gets to tease you about girlfriends.
