‘Seriously Soulless’: Kamala Makes Absolutely No Sense In Talking About Highland Park Shooting

Red State

At least seven people have now died as a result of the mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, with at least 38 people who were injured during the attack.

Among the dead were Katherine Goldstein, 64, of Highland Park; Irina McCarthy, 35, of Highland Park; Kevin McCarthy, 37, of Highland Park; Jacquelyn Sundheim, 63, of Highland Park; Stephen Straus, 88, of Highland Park; and Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza, 78, of Morelos, Mexico. Officials have not yet released the name of the seventh victim.

The police say that the suspect, Richard Crimo III, dressed as a woman during the attack to hide his identifiable tattoos and escape the scene.

Police have not yet identified a motive for the shooting, but they believe it was premeditated, and that he had been planning it for weeks.

Kamala Harris made an unannounced visit to Highland Park, just one day after the shooting. But she immediately used the occasion to go political and rail against “assault weapons.” Does she even know what “assault weapons” are? Or is that like the definition of what is a woman — where it’s whatever they say it is, depending on the present narrative? Harris then served up another word salad about taking “this stuff seriously.”

“We’ve got to be smarter as a country in terms of who has access to what — and in particular assault weapons,” Harris said. “We have to take this stuff seriously, as seriously as you are, because you have been forced to take it seriously. The whole nation should understand and have a level of empathy to understand that this can happen anywhere, in any peace-loving community. And we should stand together and speak out about why it’s got to stop.”
