Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke is supporting GOP nominee Donald Trump “for the nation’s survival,” and rides tall in our turbulent times while getting “profound” pushback for, as he says it, “challenging the prevailing liberal or progressive orthodoxy.”

Clarke, who is in his 39th year as an elected sheriff, believes this liberal orthodoxy causes harm to real people, especially in the black community.
Resolute and fearless, Clarke cites failing schools, chronic unemployment, inescapable poverty, crime, violence, gangs and family disintegration that spiral citizens into chronic and debilitating government dependence, where the Democrat Party can best maintain power and control.
His biggest concern in 2016 is that “corruption has infected our government at the highest level and a significant part of the population seems unmoved” by that.
The well-read Clarke believes trust is eroding in government. When Republicans were unable to stop the “weaponization of the IRS” to stifle opposition to President Barack Obama, or react when the Department of Justice fails to prosecute obvious legal violations of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, America is at a dangerous point, Clarke says.
In this 27-minute exclusive video interview for The Daily Caller News Foundation, Sheriff Clarke speaks about why the liberal mainstream media swarmed him for an Oct. 15 tweet where he wrote it’s “pitchfork and torches time” in America.
In the video, he notes that Sen. Bernie Sanders can call for a “revolution” throughout the summer, or Obama can campaign in 2008 saying “if they bring a knife, we’ll bring a gun,” but the media panics at what this conservative black sheriff says in a tweet.
Clark reminds us that when King George did not listen, the founding fathers launched a revolution that inspired the Declaration of Independence. When America decided it had to get rid of slavery, it was highly disruptive, he says, giving voice to the growing concern today that we are losing self-government and a government responsive to the people.
The mainstream media, he says, has “abandoned their responsibility as the fourth estate under the first amendment and become the propaganda wing of progressive politics and the Democrat Party.” Instead, he encourages citizens to use alternative forms of information and communication, such as Twitter, blogs and new media.
