STUNNING: The First Lady Of Fashion – What A Day!

June 3, 2019 by Kristie McDonald

Melania Trump made a splash across the pond with her sophisticated style — particularly the ensemble she wore to meet Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla (aka the Duchess of Cornwall), at the Garden at Buckingham Palace on Monday.

President Donald Trump, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, first lady Melania Trump, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall pose for the media ahead of the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in London, Monday, June 3, 2019.

The NYPost reports,

To kick off the official state visit, Melania chose a prim but fetching white Dolce & Gabbana dress with a midnight blue collar and belt. The controversial design duo — Stefano Gabbana, in particular, is known for being outspoken about his political, religious and cultural opinions — have long been sartorial supporters of the American first lady.

Melania topped off her look with a coordinating wide-brimmed hat custom designed by French-American designer Hervé Pierre, who frequently dresses the 49-year-old former model.

Earlier in the day, she paid homage to British style, stepping off the plane at Stansted in a Burberry blouse, plus a sleek navy pencil skirt and blazer by American Michael Kors and navy heels by French designer Christian Louboutin.

After Melania wore a Kors look to a 2017 Joint Address to Congress, the designer said, “Mrs. Trump has been a longtime client at our New York boutique. She has a keen understanding of what works best for her and her lifestyle.”
