With an average of 2.699 million total viewers, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” almost beat the combined total of MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show (1.369 million) and CNN’s town hall special (1.357 million).

It seems Kelly’s exit to host her own daytime and primetime shows at NBC did not hurt Fox News as some may have anticipated. Carlson was up 27 percent in total viewers for the same day last year, according to Accuracy in Media, and in the key 25-54 demographic, there was an amazing 45 percent increase.
In its previous 7 p.m. time slot, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” made history for Fox News since it debuted in November, giving the cable news channel a record making 71 percent increase in viewers.
Twitter users seemed happy about the ratings win for Carlson.
