The momentum has increased for years, gradually edging traditional Judeo-Christian religious references out of our culture. From stopping reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in our school’s classrooms because of one clause: “One nation, under God”; to challenging the quote on our currency: “In God We Trust,” the assault has been relentless.
And to replace the values that has been the cornerstone of our country since its inception, the radical left has begun a new narrative of “Woke-ism” to guide the country that is reminiscent to the Salem witch trials in the early 1690s, or George Orwell’s classic novel “1984,” or even the uncompromising practices of specialized thought-programming of Lenin, Stalin or during Mao’s Cultural Revolution.
There are many examples of how the left has injected their new ‘religion’ into our culture, in media, academics, sports, business, federal government, entertainment, literally everywhere.
Here is a case study of how the left has infiltrated business culture and demanded the firing of a qualified individual on totally unwarranted and false grounds:
Kay James, Heritage CEO, was invited to work with the Advanced Technology External Advisory Council examining AI innovations at Google. Because James was a Republican and the leader of the conservative Heritage Foundation, her presence drew objections from some on the board and from thousands of Google employees.
Others defended her appointment to the board, either as a way to bring more views into the discussion around AI tools or at least as a savvy political maneuver. They submitted that James’ appointment could be a way to get ahead of the conversation and ease fears about the company because having her conservative input would bring balance to the group.
But, internal company messages revealed the true extent of the ‘woke mob’s’ intolerance toward James.
James, a 71-year old African-American woman, who grew up during the civil rights movement was slandered with terms, like “bigot,” “racist” and “white supremacist.”
James responded to these absurd criticisms in a Washington Post article,
“In 1961, at age 12, I was one of two dozen black children who integrated an all white junior high school in Richmond. White parents jeered me outside the school and inside the kids stuck me with pins, shoved me in the halls and pushed me down the stairs.
So when the group of Google employees resorted to calling names and making false accusations because they didn’t want a conservative voice advising the company, the hostility was reminiscent of what I felt back then. That same intolerance for someone that was different from them.”
Google bowed to the demands from the totalitarian left and abandoned the venture, arguing that the current environment did not allow for the council to function properly.
This is only one among many case studies demonstrating the facts-be-damned (How can they get away with labeling James a white supremacist? Facts don’t matter. Only assertions do.), regressive tendencies and the new religion of ‘Woke-ism’ of the radical left, soon coming to a venue near you.
