CNN has repeatedly mocked Donald Trump, but the president is apparently getting the last laugh.
The White House has reportedly “iced out” CNN by refusing to send its reps or surrogates on the beleaguered leftist network.

The situation has gotten so desperate that CNN anchor Jake Tapper whined that he’s being ignored by the White House (so now they know how Fox News felt for 8 years under the Obama presidency).
We asked the Trump WH to provide a guest to explain the order & clear up any confusion (even within its own govt).
They declined. #CNNSOTU— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) January 29, 2017
While there’s no ban in place (a word CNN loves to throw around), an anonymous White House official said it makes no sense for them to send a spokesperson to CNN when the anti-Trump network is going to distort everything they say anyway.
“We’re sending surrogates to places where we think it makes sense to promote our agenda,” a White House official told Politico.
An anonymous CNN reporter claimed President Trump is trying to punish the network and drive down its ratings. “They’re trying to cull CNN from the herd,” the reporter said.

Trump administration officials are still answering questions from CNN reporters, so that sounds like another CNN-driven fake news rumor.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer dismissed speculation that CNN is being iced out, but said he can’t afford to waste time talking to media that have no interest in accurate reporting.
“I’m not going to sit around and engage with people who have no desire to actually get something right,” Spicer said.
