President Trump is blaming protesters and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) for chaos at airports across the country in the aftermath of his executive order on immigration.

Trump in a later tweet said there is “nothing nice about searching for terrorists before they can enter our country.”

The president on Friday signed an executive order that bars Syrian refugees indefinitely and halts the country’s refugee resettlement program for four months.The order also denies entry for 90 days to people from seven predominately Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Libya.Hours after the order was signed, reports emerged of people being detained upon arrival at U.S. airports.Protests broke out on Saturday and Sunday at airports across the country with demonstrators urging the government to welcome refugees and immigrants. Several Democratic lawmakers joined the protests at locations in various cities and some Republican lawmakers also expressed concern about the order and its implementation.
