By the time all votes are counted, President-elect Donald Trump may well lose the popular vote but as he points out, he campaigned based on the system in place and that is the ‘Electoral College. So being Donald Trump, he explained the system via his favorite communications outlet, Twitter:
If the election were based on total popular vote I would have campaigned in N.Y. Florida and California and won even bigger and more easily

The Electoral College is actually genius in that it brings all states, including the smaller ones, into play. Campaigning is much different!

So, to all the Liberals whiners who say they really won the election, NO YOU DIDN’T. And if the electoral college was abolished, Trump would have campaigned differently and still won.
