President-elect Donald Trump slammed Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein on Sunday for her recount efforts in certain states.
“The Green Party just dropped its recount suit in Pennsylvania and is losing votes in Wisconsin recount,” Trump tweeted on Sunday afternoon.
The Green Party just dropped its recount suit in Pennsylvania and is losing votes in Wisconsin recount. Just a Stein scam to raise money!

The Hill reports,
Stein has filed for recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania — three states Trump won that had gone blue in previous elections. On Sunday, Stein tweeted that she will file a lawsuit in federal court on Monday seeking a statewide recount in Pennsylvania. The Green Party nominee said she would “escalate” #Recount2016 and demand a recount on constitutional grounds.
“The people deserve answers,” she tweeted.
That comes after her lawyer on Saturday withdrew a state lawsuit seeking a recount in the commonwealth, saying in a filing that the petitioners are “regular citizens of ordinary means” who “cannot afford to post the $1,000,000 bond required by court.”
Stein has raised nearly $7 million toward her recount efforts in the three states.
She has been defending her recount efforts recently, saying voters deserve to know the country has a voting system they can trust.
Trump’s top aide Kellyanne Conway on Sunday called for Stein to “give it up.” She said even “your friends” in Hillary Clinton’s campaign have admitted the recounts won’t change the results.
