With a new campaign team in place, Donald Trump is opening the ad spigot with $4.9 million in commercial buys over the next 10 days in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania, Kantar Media’s political-ad-tracking service reported Thursday.
The ads, set to begin airing Friday, will include negative “facts and figures” about Hillary Clinton and a positive message about Trump, new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told Fox News.
Clinton has a huge head start in the ad wars, having torn through $61 million since she locked up the nomination in June. With her primary super PAC added to the mix, Clinton’s spending totals at least $104 million.
Meanwhile, Trump hasn’t spent a dime on TV spots in the general election.

Polls show Trump trailing in all four battleground states where he’s buying ads.
