Trump to UK Prime Minister: “I’m not stupid, Okay”

May 15, 2016 by Kristie McDonald

The presumptive nominee Donald Trump’s relationship with UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron did not start out well.  When Trump first announced his intention to put a temporary hold on Muslims entering the country, Cameron responded by calling his proposal “divisive, stupid and wrong,” but that he did not support a British ban on the U.S. presidential hopeful entering the country.  But he qualified that by saying,  “If he came to visit our country, I think he would unite us all against him,” he told British parliamentarians.

According to the Jerusalem Post Trump says in an interview with Piers Morgan,

“It looks like we’re not going to have a very good relationship. Who knows! I hope to have a good relationship with him but it sounds like he’s not willing to address the problem either,” Trump said in an interview with Piers Morgan, recorded on Friday and due to be aired in full on ITV on Monday.

“Well, number one I’m not stupid, Okay. I can tell you that, right now – just the opposite. Number two, in terms of divisive: I don’t think I’m a divisive person. I’m a unifier, unlike our president now (referring to President Barack Obama), I’m a unifier,” he added.
