It began with a video montage of her long and often brilliant career but the lefty liberal Meryl Streep managed to turn her acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille award at Sunday night’s Golden Globes into a long, condescending and rambling political anti-Trump rant. Such a shame but so expected. Liberals fawned while Conservatives gagged.

Streep also brought always used but totally debunked accusation that Trump “made fun” of a disabled reporter, calling it the “performance” that most stood out.
“There was nothing good about it, but it did its job,” Streep said. “It kind of broke my heart when I saw it, and I still can’t get it out my head because it wasn’t in a movie, it was in real life. That instinct to humiliate when it’s modeled by someone in a public platform, it filters down into everyone’s life because it gives permission for others to do the same. Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others we all lose.”
Shortly after, Conservative commentator and radio host Larry Elder refuted Streep with the facts on Trump’s alleged “mocking,”
Stop the #fakenews, #MerylStreep. @realDonaldTrump DID NOT “imitate a disabled reporter.” Facts:https://t.co/d8EK0Hwlp3#GoldenGlobes

Although most of the audience was composed of tearful Hollywood elite snowflakes, the cameras did catch a couple of people who looked like many of us felt when they panned Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn,
Mel Gibson was wondering if Meryl Streep was taking about him. #GoldenGlobes #MerylStreep pic.twitter.com/qbwY25VyD1

Meryl Streep thinks the Hollywood foreign press needs protection. She forgets the journalists in Syria – where Obama didn’t stop a genocide.
