Donald Trump promised over and over again on Wednesday that he would build a wall along the United States’ border with Mexico to stop drugs from flowing into the country and halt illegal immigration.

‘I want to build a wall, we need the wall,’ he said at this evening’s debate. ‘We stop the drugs, we shore up the border.’
Trump said one of his first acts as president would be to round up ‘all of the drug lords, all of the bad ones – we have some bad, bad people in this country that have to go out.’
The Republican said he would decide ‘at a later date’ what to do with other illegal residents.
‘We have some bad hombres here, and we’re gonna get them out,’ Trump asserted.Hombre directly translates to ‘man’ in Spanish, but it’s slang for homie.
Spanish speakers mocked Trump up on Twitter for pronouncing it as ‘hambre’ – the word for hunger.
GOP strategist and political pundit Anna Navarro took a dig at him for it. She said another tweet, ‘Well, now we know Trump’s Spanish vocabulary is all of 2 words: “hombre” and “taco”. I’d gladly teach him a few more choice words…’
‘Scandal’ creator and Hillary Clinton endorser Shonda Rhimes said, ‘Wait. Rewind. Did that racist just say “bad hombres”?’
‘ “Nasty woman” or “hombre.” Which was more offensive? And that’s not even mentioning that Trump won’t pledge to respect election results,’ said the mayor of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Chris Coleman.
Twitter user Zach Lewis posted a picture of cartoon character Speedy Gonzales and said, ‘Trump’s PR team gonna backtrack faster than this bad hombre. ARIBA ARIBA ARIBA!’In the debate exchange Trump repeatedly accused Clinton of pursuing an ‘open border’ policy that he also claimed would allow Syrian refugees to ‘pour’ into the country.
‘Hillary wants to give amnesty,’ Trump charged at the third and final presidential debate. ‘She wants to have open borders.’
Defending his own deportation policy, Trump pointed to President Barack Obama, who has ‘moved millions out people out.’
‘She doesn’t want to say that. But that’s what’s happened. And that’s what’s happened bigly,’ he claimed.
Trump said illegal immigrants would have to leave the country before they could apply for citizenship.
‘We’re going to speed up the process bigly, because its very inefficient, very unfair that somebody runs across the border, becomes a citizen,’ he said. ‘Under her plan you have open borders, you would have a disaster on trade, and you will have a disaster with your open borders.’Clinton said his claims that she’d allow immigrants to ‘pour’ through the borders are inaccurate.
